Mask Mandate for Ohio Counties
Posted on: 07/08/2020
Governor Mike DeWine announced yesterday that the Ohio Counties seeing the highest rates of COVID-19 infections will be under a face covering order beginning today.
The Governor said that health commissioners in seven counties are under a level three public health emergency alert. The commissioners asked to DeWine to issue the blanket health order. Today for Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Huron, Montgomery and Trumbull County, the mask for indoor and outdoor shared spaces, where social distance is not maintainable, is mandatory. Washington County has not been listed. WMOA News reported Monday that locally, we are under a low watch. Cases have risen in the county but not nearly as much as the counties listed. The blanket health order comes just one day after West Virginia began a statewide face covering order.
