Hosted by Fort Frye High School's Student Solving Problems Club, the Senior Citizens Prom will be held on Friday, March 20th, at the high school. WMOA spoke with one of the co-interns, Paige Morgnestern, about details.

"We put on like a dance for the older generation so they can still like get out and be social and then increases like physical activity. And then we have little like snacks for them and drinks and door prizes, bingo prizes. We pull a random king and queen and just give them something to like look forward to and then have them probably reminisce as well."

Morgenstern explains some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making this event possible.

"We do a lot of planning, like when is the best day gonna work? The food science in our school helps us out with the snacks and drinks. Um, local flower shop donates the flowers to it, so it's just a lot of connecting within the community to pull it all together."

The members of Students Solving Problems find this event particularly special.

"The older generation in our community just gets so overlooked. And in Beverly Ohio, there's just not always a lot of things for them to do. So it's really special just getting to see everyone come together and have a really fun afternoon, and it's just a way of us giving back to them and just providing this fun atmosphere for them."

This event is free. For those interested, they can show up at Fort Frye High School on March 20th from 1-2:30 PM for a blast.
