The Castle will host a Food History event on Ohio's First Ladies. Kyle Yoho, the education director at The Castle, shares more.

"This program will be looking at the impact that Ohio's first ladies had. We will be joined by Stephanie Bonac, who is the Director of Education and Curatorial Services at the National First Ladies Library and Museum, uh, as our speaker that evening."

There will be a 3-course meal coinciding with the families at the White House.

"Our first course is gonna be uh, P Hayes's Corn Soup and present Garfield's potato Bread. The second course will be the Harding's Chicken Pot Pie. Served with peas with the dessert course being Harrison's pound cake. The McKinley family's whipped cream and cranberry, as well as TAFs salted almond cookies."

Yoho explains that this ties right into the month of March.

"It is, uh, women's History Month in March, and we're excited to be able to host a speaker from outta the area to give us some information on Ohio's role and the presidency as well as their impact during Women's History Month."

It will be on March 18th from 6-8 PM at the Basilica of St Mary of the Assumption. Reservations must be finalized by 5 PM on March 13th. For reservations, call the castle at (740)373-4180 or visit the castle's website.
