On Saturday, officers and detectives with the Washington County Sheriff's Office began an investigation into a rape involving a 12-year-old female.

The juvenile victim reportedly met an unknown male on Social Media Platform, Instagram and had arranged to meet up at Little Hocking Elementary School.  Reports say the victim and her 8-year-old sister walked to the school.

The suspect in the matter was identified as 23-year-old Jordan Ross Dieffenbach of Kent Ohio. The Washington County Sheriff's Office reports that Dieffenbach gave the younger sister a twenty-dollar bill, told her leave and not tell anyone.  However, the girl quickly ran home and told the mother.  Once the mother arrived at the school, the juvenile was exiting the vehicle carrying her underwear and shorts.  The vehicle immediately left the parking lot.

Detectives spoke with the victim who explained the situation online and gave graphic details as to what happened in the vehicle at the school.

Detectives took over the Instagram account and contacted Dieffenbach.  While posing as the 12-year-old victim, detectives made contact and arranged to meet again.  The same meeting point was discussed and Jordan Dieffenbach was arrested and charged with juvenile rape, a felony in the first degree.  He was held without bond pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.
