President Dr. Bill Ruud says that the Fall Semester will begin on August 17th, which according to the institution is three days earlier than the original plan.  The semester will end with final exams on November 24th.

The Marietta College Board of Trustees approved the decisions earlier this month.  Classes will be conducted on Labor Day and on the two days of the traditional fall break.

Provost Janet Bland says that the plans include some online component to every course during the fall semester, dual delivery courses will be offered by some faculty.  This allows both in-person and online learning to take place at the same time.

Before classes begin, President Ruud says the College is looking at how students, faculty and staff on campus will be tested for COVID-19 before classes begin.  Still no word on Spring of 2021 classes yet.  WMOA news is expecting updates as MC monitors the Fall's academic success.
