"It is gonna be a puzzle tournament for individuals and teams, max of four people on Sunday, February 22nd at 1:00 PM We're expected it to go for two to three hours, but we haven't done this before, so we'll find out. But basically, individuals and teams will come, um, to the ballroom at the Lafayette Hotel and see who can complete their puzzles first.
"So we have donations of both new and used, uh, puzzles in good condition, and we're just gonna put 'em out and, and the type of store where you can just buy some raffle tickets and put your little ticket in the, in the bin next to the items you are interested in and when in. And then we'll just draw 'em randomly and see who gets to cut.
Take some puzzles home to continue the fund."
Warner says the fundraiser will help address food insecurity.
"So all the funds raised through, um, this fundraiser will go to support our three programs that, um, assist both from preschool through 12th graders. We have an online homeschooling program, an elementary program, and a middle school high school program. And unfortunately the need is not diminishing at all. We actually are seeing, our enrollment numbers have been climbing very steadily this year. And, um, we're pretty. Certain that probably within a month we're gonna, um, exceed last year's highest enrollment numbers."
For those interested, she shares how to get registered.
"There is a $10 fee to register for the fundraiser, um, per person, and you can do that online at our website. Go pack the number four kids.org or if you'd like to do it in person, um, you can stop by our office at 501 Fourth Street and Marietta. And we do thank, um, the Lafayette Hotel for sponsoring and allowing us to use their space for the event."
Winners of each division will recieve prizes and of course, bragging rights.
