Each recipient of this award received $1,500. She then explains what it takes to receive the Janet Frazier award.

"That is nominations from local community members, parents of students in the program, students themselves, colleagues, administration, anybody can really nominate these arts teachers, um, for doing a job that is so important to a well-rounded education."

Tyler Hartline, representing Fort Frye High School, was a recipient, receiving $1,000 toward his program.

"The impression I, I got from reading through some of the nominations that program had needed some new life breathed into it, and so he really took that and grew it. He mentioned that he had added several new students to the program and recruited them from, from the school system to learn a new talent and explore the opportunities."

Artsbridge would like to thank Luke Frazier. 

"Um, we're so grateful for Luke Frazier and his funding of this scholarship and teacher award program and his love for the arts in the area. As you know, as you probably know, he was from this area, so it's near and dear to his heart, and he named both of these awards in honor of his grandmothers who played such a vital role in his love for the arts growing up."

A second teacher will receive the Janet Frazier award, and they will be surprised on Monday, April 27th.
