BB2C is hosting its Summer STEAM Camp this June and July for Middle and High school students to explore opportunities in a variety of STEAM-related areas. We spoke with BB2C's Makerspace Director Jared Wittekind about the camp.

"It's camps for incoming sixth through eighth graders for the beginning of next school year, and incoming ninth graders through exiting 12th graders for our high school camp."

Registration for the camp can be completed at BB2Careers.org. The Middle school camp is this June 15th through 17th, and the High school camp is this July 20 through 24th.

Wittekind said, "Steam really gives kids a leg up going into high school, and more importantly, lays the foundation for adaptive learning after high school. Being able to sort of roll with the punches, think critically, and develop solutions to things. Steam, of course, standing for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. So our middle schoolers and high schoolers will spend their time during the camps doing various activities, really developing those skills."

The camps are free, and any middle and high school students in Appalachian Ohio are welcome to attend.
