MARIETTA, OH- Our beloved Marietta is going be featured in a piece by the Midwest Travel Journalist Association which is set to be released in the October issue of Ohio corporative Living. Heading the story is Freelance Photo Journalist Wendy Pramik. Pramik who has been a Ohio native her whole life said Marietta has been on her radar for quite some time but wasn't until stumbling along a brochure at the Ohio Travel Expo in Columbus.
"I pitched a story about a strange trip in Marietta. There are a lot of interesting strange things to do. Like the Mortuary Museum, and ghost tours, and bubble dancing that you can do," she said.
The story about Marietta's rich reputation as one of the states spookiest towns. Pramik talks about what her approach to the story will be.
"Well originally I wanted to come down and experience it for a weekend. Come down for a weekend and do the ghost tour, stay in a hotel or just stay somewhere that is connected to the haunted Marietta storyline and then eat somewhere. So really to give people reading this story that you can make a weekend out of this or come during the week and experience a whole bunch of things around that theme. So that is what I'm touching on just those certain aspects of the story."
Pramick also hits on how important first-hand experience and stories will be to the story.
" Normally I like to come and experience it first hand and then write an element of it first hand or I may find interesting characters in the city and have the story told from their perspective but I like to get into the places.
