UPDATE: Bomb threat suspect arrested
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that investigators identified the social media platform that the individual was using. A search warrant was obtained for the platform which led investigators to Minersville Pennsylvania. Warrants were then executed at a residence in that jurisdiction. Investigators learned that the person responsible for the threats had moved to Georgia.
The suspect is being identified as 18-year-old Nicholas John Frances Hall of Thomson Georgia. Hall admitted to authorities to placing the calls when approached.
Fort Frye Superintendent Stephanie Starcher advised that after a thorough search of its school grounds, students resumed 'normal' operations.
Warren students have returned to school after being temporarily evacuated to its football field, and will be on a level one soft lockdown for the remainder of the day, a source told WMOA News.
Multiple bomb threats have been called into area schools, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Marietta, Waterford, Fort Frye, Warren, Morgan County and Caldwell reportedly received threats.
Chief Deputy Mark Warden says the Sheriff's Office takes the threats seriously and at this time, does not believe the threats are coming from students.
WMOA News has reached out to local school districts for further details. WCSO reports that some schools are releasing students and other schools are on soft lockdown.
