The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on June 30th.
The crash reportedly happened around 3:10pm in Morgan County on State Route 376 in the Bloom Township.
47 year old Tammy Potter of South Shroe Kentucky was driving her Chevrolet S-10 while traveling southbound.
The investigationi led police to believe that the truck traveled off of the right side of the roadway and later off of the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned and caught fire.
Mrs. Potter was pronounced deceased at the scene and the report states that she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State HIghway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, Malta and McConnelsville Fire Department, Morgan County Sheriff's Office and the Morgan County Coroner also responded to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
