Daily Rundown and Coffee Takes – 10/13/15

Steelers win on walk-off TD

Le'Veon Bell extended the ball over the goal line on a last second run from the one-yard line that gave the Steelers a 24-20 win over the Chargers on Monday night football. Bell took the direct snap and was able to keep his momentum going forward after taking contact at the line of scrimmage. The Steelers RB racked up 111 yards on 21 carries.

Michael Vick was 13/26 passing for 203 yards with a touchdown and interception. The touchdown strike was a 72-yard play to Markus Wheaton that tied the game at 17-17 before the Chargers regained the lead on a Josh Lambo field goal, setting the stage for Bell's game winner.

The Steelers move to 3-2, the Chargers drop to 2-3.

MLB Division Series rundown

After a full schedule of Division Series action yesterday, both AL series are heading to fifth games and two NL teams will have a chance to advance in front of their home crowds in four.

The Royals are headed back to Kansas City for Game 5 after erasing a 4 run hole with a 5-run 8th inning. Astros SS Carlos Correa hit two homers and drove in four, but committed a crucial error that kept the big inning alive for the Royals. Johnny Cueto will get the start in Game 5 for KC.

The Blue Jays, behind former Cy Young winners R.A. Dickey, who started, and David Price, who made a rare appearance out of the bullpen, rode an early 7-0 lead to an 8-1 win over the Rangers to force a Game 5 in Toronto.

Jake Arrieta allowed 4 runs in 5.2 innings, but the Cubs picked up their ace with 6 home runs in an 8-6 win over the Cardinals. Now up 2-1 in the series, the Cubs will look to finish off the Cards at Wrigley Field this afternoon.

The Mets will have a chance to send the Dodgers home for the winter tonight after winning a 13-7 slugfest Monday night.

Hear both NLDS games on ESPN Radio WJAW FM 100.9 and AM 630. 4pm – Cards/Cubs, 7:30pm – Dodgers/Mets
