The Washington County Commissioners have decided to close the Marietta Recycling Center as a cost saving measure. Tonight community members are invited to gather for a discussion on the future of the area recycling program.

Volunteers with the recycling center would like to continue their work saying there is a need beyond that met by area trash haulers. But, some people feel that community recycling trailers are sufficient to handle the materials. Residents on all sides are invited to engage in this evening’s discussion.
