Candidate for Congress Bill Johnson says he has been trying to get Congressman Charlie Wilson to agree to district wide debates for a month. In the absence of a response, Johnson is scheduling his own town hall meetings so that voters will have an opportunity to meet him and ask him questions.
On July 26, Johnson sent a letter to Wilson that proposed a series of 12 debates - one for every county in the expansive 6th District.
Johnson’s campaign has scheduled a forum in Washington County on September 29.
He’ll be at Washington State Community College from 6 to 8 pm.
