Officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs have announced plans to create a new health clinic in Gallia County.

Within the next year, the VA plans to place a Rural Health Outreach Clinic at a site in or near Gallipolis.

The clinic will be associated with an existing medical facility, and will provide primary care for veterans in the surrounding areas one to two days per week.  If demand proves to be high, Gallipolis could become eligible for an upgraded facility in the future.
