After several months of planning, Marietta Memorial Hospital and Selby General Hospital formally announced a new partnership this morning.
The two entities will unite under the umbrella of Memorial Health Systems, a parent corporation that is also affiliated with Harmar Place, Glenwood Retirement Community, Marietta Health Care Physicians, and the Marietta Memorial Foundation.
Dr. Charlotte Hatfield, the president of Washington State Community College, is the newly elected chair of the Memorial Health Systems board. The community board is designed to include eight representatives from Selby and twelve from Marietta Memorial.
Some duties may shift, but officials say no jobs will be lost in the partnership.
