By  Callie Lyons
The up-and-coming Nashville band SHIROCK will be performing at the Marietta High School on Thursday evening.

This afternoon the rock band will offer a special performance for high school students in the Tiger auditorium. Tonight they'll open the doors to the public.

The young band has just finished recording their debut album, which is scheduled for release in June. They've also recently launched their own nonprofit organization, called Everything Burns.

If you'd like to hear a preview of their music or learn more about the band, just go to myspace.com/shirock.

Tickets to the concert are $3 at the door. The show begins at 7:30.
