(MARIETTA, OH) - The Washington County Home Boiler Replacement Project is another step closer to beginning.

Bids for the boiler project were open and acknowledged Thursday by the Board of Commissioners, County Clerk Rick Peoples, and representatives for some of the companies making bids.

Four companies bid for the job with Tri-State placing a bid of $145,245, Morrison Incorporated bidding $98,117, and H and A Mechanical—the low bidder—placed a bid of $87,000.

Pioneer Pipe was the fourth company to bid on the job, but did not acknowledge the first addendum or the schedule, and also did not provide a second affidavit.

As a result, Pioneer Pipe’s bid was not released.

The project winner decision will potentially come within the next week.
