Upgraded App To Help Ohio Veterans Find Job, Benefits
Posted on: 07/15/2014
By  Justin Bradley
(COLUMBUS, OH) - An upgraded app aimed at helping to bring more job and education information to the people who serve the nation.

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services says it’s launching an upgraded mobile app that will not only help veterans find work, but also give them a more useful way to find out about their benefits and how to get them.

Veterans Services Director Tim Gorrell says the app has already been successful, but its new version 1.3.0 upgrade will expand its availability to Windows device users and will include additional resources for veterans looking for work orto go back to school, and will provide them with news specifically tailored for their community.

The app allows veterans to find each of Ohio’s 88 county veteran service offices by current location, zip code, or county and also provides contact information for each of them.

Perhaps the best news for veterans and their families is that this app is free.  All you’ll need to do is visit the iPhone App Store, Windows Apps store, and Google Play and then type in the keywords “Ohio Veteran” to find the app.

The department’s website www.ohiovet.gov  also has links to each of those stores.

The app is compatible with Windows, Android, and iOS devices.
