(MARIETTA, OH) - Another scam leaves behind another victim—this time, to the tune of six figures in losses.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office says it is investigating a case in which a 91-year-old woman sent nearly $120,000 to fraudsters in Jamaica who claimed to be operating a charity for Donald Trump.

Deputies searched the unnamed victim’s apartment and found a large number of Western Union and Green Dot prepaid card receipts.

Investigators say an acquaintance tells them the victim has financial issues and is constantly attempting to get more money.

They say the victim did not provide detail on where she got the cash she sent to Jamaica.
