(MARIETTA, OH) -The Washington County Sheriff’s office says it has four people in custody on a variety of felony charges after it executed two late-night search warrants on Thursday in New Matamoras.

One of the people in custody is also accused of robbing a New Matamoras gas station.

Sherriff Larry Mincks says deputies recovered several stolen items and drug paraphernalia from the home at 1222 Williamson Avenue in New Matamoras.  He says deputies recovered a .22 revolver, watch, coins, and other items stolen during a June 13 burglary on State Route 7.

Twenty-four-year-old Joseph Slider is accused of wrapping the stolen coins on his bed in the days following the burglary, and police say he has admitted to stealing the other items.

Police also say they recovered dark clothing similar to those worn by the suspect who robbed the New Matamoras Par Mar store on Monday.  Slider has also admitted to that robbery.
Par Mar's security cameras captured footage implicated Snider in the crime.

The other four people arrested in the raid were 55-year-old Larry Loy, who is banned from owning firearms because of his criminal history, and Melody and Cody Keene, ages 58 and 18. The Keenes are accused of possessing other items stolen during Slider’s robberies, and of possessing drug syringes.
