(MARIETTA, OH) - A busy Tuesday in domestic violence arrests for the Marietta Police Department.
Police say 22-year-old Luther Hall of 710 Front Street and 46-year-old Ralph Baker Jr. of 400 Phillips street have been arrested in separate cases of domestic violence, both involving physical altercations with women.
Hall was arrested yesterday after he allegedly hit his wife in the head and body, and then choked her during an argument. Captain Jeff Waite says Hall fled his residence when police arrived, but later turned himself into the police department after an officer contacted him.
Police say Baker--the man involved in the second incident—has a history of domestic violence charges, which means he faces an elevated fourth-degree felony domestic violence charge for allegedly shoving his live-in girlfriend on the table, causing the table to break, and injuring her back as a result.
Both Baker and Hall are in the Washington County Jail.
