A unique art show highlighting works by some talented teenagers gets underway Friday (Apr. 18) in downtown Marietta.
Betsy Cook, with the Riverside Artists Gallery, explains “it’s called the Mid Ohio Valley High School Students Art Show. We’ll have some amazing artwork by our high school students from Wood and Washington counties.”
Cook says this is not child’s play – it is quality art created by some very talented young people.
“It’s amazing, really. They use all different media – clay, carved wood, oil and acrylic painting, string art, collages – some wonderful representations. You’ll see that we have some fine young artists here,” Cook states.
The Mid-Ohio Valley High School Student Art Show debuts tomorrow evening from 6:00 until 9:00 inside Riverside Artists Gallery, 219 Second Street. Cash awards will be presented to the winning entries at 7:00.
The artwork will remain on the display the last two weeks of April.
