(PARKERSBURG, WV) - An armed robbery in Parkersburg early this morning leaves a gas station in panic and the police force looking to positively identify the suspect.
At about 4 AM today, Wood County 9-1-1 Dispatch received a call informing them that an armed robbery had taken place at the Speedway Station on Seventh Street in Parkersburg, and police are releasing the details of what happened.

Martin says the clerk told police that the suspect entered the store and remained in one location once inside, and then waited for the clerk to get to the cash register. He says the suspect then pulled a pistol on the clerk and demanded the clerk remove the undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect, who then fled on foot .
The suspect is described as a male between five-feet-six and five-feet-nine inches tall and weighing between 130 and 160 pounds.
Investigators scanned the area for evidence to be used for possible arrest and were able to find surveillance footage which shows the suspect wearing dark blue jeans, a blue sweatshirt, brown shoes, and a ski mask.
