Marietta Among Smithsonian's "Best Small Towns To Visit"
Posted on: 03/21/2014
By  Justin Bradley
(MARIETTA, OH) - Smithsonian magazine's third annual Best Small Towns To Visit List was released today, helping you plan your next weekend getaway to one of America's best kept secrets! The list highlights towns with populations of less than 15,000 that have exceptional strengths in history, music, visual arts, learning, food, theater and science. Coming in at number 6 is Marietta.

Many small American towns have died, and some have been reborn, but neither of those stories describes this place. Harley Noland, a city councilman-at-large, says "Marietta has always been a stable place."
