Commissioners Declare "Wear Blue To Work Day."
Posted on: 03/20/2014
By  Justin Bradley

(MARIETTA, OH) - The Washington County Commissioners are designating April 9, 2014 as “Wear Blue to Work Day” for child abuse awareness and also declare April as Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness month in Washington County.

The commissioners say “Wear Blue to Work Day” is a visual way to demonstrate the fact that child mistreatment is prevalent in every community, and The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund and Washington County Children’s Services recognize that preventing child abuse is critically important for the sake of children and community health.
