The Marietta Police Department continues to
investigate the death of the young child who died last week. They gained some information over the weekend, which they are not divulging at this time.
As previously reported, the three-year-old boy from Vienna was brought
to Marietta Memorial Hospital’s emergency room on Thursday night, where he died
a short time later.
On Saturday, MPD detectives drove
to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office in Dayton to attend the autopsy.
Police are not releasing the results
of the preliminary autopsy. The final autopsy report is expected to be ready in
six to eight weeks.
The name of the child is not being released at this time,
nor is any other information.
Captain Jeff Waite says Marietta
Police are working with Vienna Police and the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office.
