Workshops Coming to Marietta and Belpre for People Wanting to Start a Business

The Ohio Small Business Development Center at Marietta and the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce offer free, two-hour "Basis of a Successful Start" workshops that will answer questions about how to start a business.  
 
These workshops will help budding entrepreneurs avoid confusion, costly mistakes and unnecessary steps. Attendees learn the basics of licensing, tax requirements, hiring employees, insurance, financing and business planning.
 
The next workshops are:  
 
Tuesday, February 18, at the Washington State Community College Library from 6 until 8 PM…
 
Two sessions on Thursday, March 6 at the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce on Park Drive. The sessions run from Noon until 2 or from 5:30 until 7:30.  
 
The workshops are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Register before noon the day before the event by calling 740-373-5150 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. or email at sbdc@wscc.edu.
