Persons who are not among the estimated 90 percent of Americans now using computers and the Internet may be feeling left out and maybe a little intimidated about learning new technology.

Never fear the Washington County Public Library is here.

The main library in Marietta is offering five free computer courses next month. Each class is two hours long, and the public can choose among any of them, or all five. They range from introductory in nature to learning how to best use a new tablet. Here's the list:

GETTING STARTED WITH DIGITAL TABLETS on February 4 at 10 AM
INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNET on the 6 at 1 PM
BASIC WORD PROCESSING on the 10 at 6 PM
SEARCHING THE INTERNET on February 20 at 1 PM
COMPUTER SECURITY on February 25 at 10 AM.

To register or to get more information, call the Library at (740)373-1057 ext. 208 or stop by the Library information desk.
