Rivercrest Resident Found Alive; Reno Animal Cruelty Case Investigated

CHECKING MARIETTA POLICE REPORTS…
 
A 64-YEAR-OLD MALE RESIDENT OF RIVERCREST APARTMENTS ON COUNTY HOUSE LANE WAS REPORTED MISSING BY HIS HOME HEALTH CARE NURSE. A SEARCH WAS CONDUCTED AND THE MAN WAS FOUND IN BRUSH NEAR MORRIS LOOP. A CITY RESCUE SQUAD TRANSPORTED HIM TO MARIETTA MEMORIAL FOR TREATMENT. 
 
21-YEAR-OLD TYLER HAMMOND OF CLEVELAND, A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT MARIETTA COLLEGE, WAS ARRESTED ON GLENDALE ROAD FOR O-V-I AND DRIVING LEFT OF CENTER. HE REFUSED A BREATH TEST AND WAS LATER RELEASED TO HIS GIRLFRIEND.
 
22-YEAR-OLD CASSIDY LASSITER OF PARKERSBURG WAS ARRESTED ON SOUTH FIFTH STREET FOR O-V-I. SHE TESTED NEARLY TWICE THE LEGAL LIMIT FOR ALCOHOL AND WAS LATER RELEASED ON BOND.
 
CHECKING WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS…
 
DEPUTY AND DOG WARDEN KELLY MCGILTON, ACTING ON A TIP, INVESTIGATED A CASE OF ANIMAL CRUELTY AT 27360 STATE ROUTE 7 IN RENO. SHE FOUND A MOBILE HOME WITH LITTLE OR NO HEAT, AND TWO DOGS WITHOUT FOOD OR WATER. THEY WERE EMACIATED AND SO COLD THAT THEY REQUIRED WARM BATHS TO RESTORE THEIR BODY TEMPERATURES. ALONG WITH A CAT, THE DOGS WERE TAKEN TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY SHELTER.
 
A SUMMONS WAS REQUESTED FOR THE ANIMALS' ABSENT OWNER, 41-YEAR-OLD STEVEN MOUSER.
