Well, here we are. It's a new year and we're blessed with a new, more efficient means by which to post news on the WMOA website.
It all started when the old news computer, not unlike some staff members, began acting strangely around Thanksgiving. It held on for dear life but was very slow to respond to commands. The management ordered a new machine, which was to be delivered "in a few days" from a major Ohio city.
Apparently the mode of transport was mule. An arthritic old mule. With a nagging hip injury. Two weeks and 150 miles later, the new laptop arrived. We now believe that said mule adjusted the settings on said computer, as they were unlike anything we had seen.
Then Christmas and New Year's arrived which, especially at a small business like WMOA-WJAW, means staffing disruptions. But now, things are back to what passes for normal, the weird PC settings have been adjusted and we are geared up to resume posting. We appreciate your patience.
Note that WMOA News usually posts 1-2 stories each weekday, mostly in the afternoon.
We invite residents of the Marietta area to catch one or all of our live newscasts on AM 1490 weekdays after the Ohio News Network at 6:30, 7:30 & 8:30 AM; and 12:10, 4:30 & 5:30 PM.
