Posted on: 09/10/2013
By  Mike Cullums

The Small Business Development Center is gearing up for another session next week of its popular workshop titled “Basis of a Successful Start” for budding entrepreneurs.

The first half of this workshop is designed to provide potential business owners with information on how to get your business started. Presented as a roundtable discussion by a Business Analyst, participants benefit by questions raised by others in the group.

Included in the handouts is a checklist detailing actions and information essential to a successful start.

The second half of the workshop also guides participants through the process of preparing a business plan, defining their target customer and identifying the competition.

A loan checklist is included to assist the entrepreneur in preparing and presenting all needed information to successfully apply for a business loan.

The workshop takes place next Tuesday, Sept. 17, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Washington State Community College library building. There is no charge, but registration is required before 4 PM on Monday.

For more information call Julie Wharton on Pamela Lankford at (740) 373-5150 Monday through Friday between 8:00 and 4:30, or email sbdc@wscc.edu
