First Day Attendance Up at County Fair
Posted on: 09/02/2013
By  Mike Cullums
In spite of rain on Saturday morning, attendance was up for the first day of the Washington County Fair.  According to the fair board, first day admissions were up from 5800 to 7200.
The fair board yesterday announced the cancellation a show by country musician and comic Cletus T. Judd, who was to perform tonight. Judd, who hosts a popular morning radio show in Huntington, suffered a death in his family.
The fair board was able to land Zach Shelton, an up-and-coming alternative country act from Zanesville, to take his place. Also performing tonight, the 64 to Grayson Band, along with Mini Monster Trucks.
