Washington State Encourages Fall Enrollment, Financial Aid Applications Now
Posted on: 06/17/2013
By  Mike Cullums

Washington State Community College conducted a special enrollment event on Saturday. WMOA News spoke with Amanda Herb, chief enrollment and student success officer at the college.

“The event was meant to encourage students to take action; to register now for fall semester,” she explains. “This is a great time for students to start thinking about fall, and if students are seeking financial aid this is a critical time because they need to file (applications) so they can work through the process and be eligible.”

Herb says the college made its admissions, financial aid and advising staffs available for the day.

Health-related studies are the most popular these days but with more than fifty majors now available there are many opportunities to embark on a new career. Check out the options at wscc.edu.

Jamey Styer conducted the interview.
