A Marietta childcare provider was arrested for drug trafficking today.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Deidra Fouss, of 722 Fifth Street, was arrested due to a controlled purchase in October of thirty-five Vicodin pills.
Due to the amount of pills, the crime is considered a third-degree felony.
The Sheriff’s Office says Fouss is certified through the county to provide child care from her residence and is self-employed.
At the time of the drug purchase, a confidential informant observed at least three children inside Fouss’s residence.
Sheriff Larry Mincks says parents relying on Fouss’s services should make other arrangements for their children in the near future.
