Highway Patrol Troopers Concentrating on School-Related Traffic Violations
Posted on: 10/23/2012
By  Mike Cullums

The Marietta post of the Highway Patrol is taking part in National School Bus Safety Week.

All this week, troopers are increasing enforcement along bus routes and school zones. They are following school buses and some will be riding in buses…radioing nearby colleagues with vehicle descriptions of those who violate traffic laws.

Local post commander Lieutenant Mary Pfeifer says the Highway Patrol is encouraging parents and grandparents to teach young children an easy-to-remember phrase to help them cross the street safely.

The new slogan is: I see the driver - the driver sees me.
