Local Humane Society Needs Blankets
Posted on: 10/12/2012

The Humane Society of Ohio Valley is in need of some cold weather items as temperatures begin to drop.

The Society is asking for donations of blankets or mattress pads for dogs and puppies. Their supply is running low and volunteers are having to choose which dogs get blankets and which do not.

Smaller blankets or throws are also needed for cats and kittens. Small carpet squares, soft rugs or pillow shams can also be used.

If you have available items to donate, you can drop them off at the Humane Society at 90 Mount Tom Road, located across from the County Home on County House Lane in Marietta Township.

The shelter is open from noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
