Local 9-12 Group Hosting 60 Plus Healthcare Reform Tour
Posted on: 09/20/2012

The Marietta 9-12 Committee, working with the national 60 Plus Association, is hosting a "town hall meeting" this Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the city parking lot at Second and Butler streets downtown.

60 Plus - a more conservative alternative to AARP - says healthcare is a top issue in the November election, so the association is rallying seniors at healthcare forums around the country with a “rolling postcard” that’s being signed by hundreds of people.

60 Plus says it's "sending a message to Washington to repeal and replace Obamacare with healthcare reform that is affordable and patient centered."

The "Let's Do Better" rolling postcard bus tour is traveling around Ohio this weekend and the first stop is here in Marietta.
