According to Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks, an investigation into a string of breaking and enterings reached a near conclusion last night with the arrests of two suspects.

24-year-old Steven Knotts, of Lowell, and 19-year-old Allen Grigg, of Marietta, were arrested Tuesday at Knotts’ residence at 233 Main Street and confessed to stealing more than items, combined worth more than $13,000, from storage buildings in Lowell two weeks ago.

Knotts & Grigg led investigators to a location in Noble County where most of the stolen property was concealed.  Investigators are in the process of inventorying the items and identifying its owners.

A third suspect is being sought and will likely be arrested in the near future.

Knotts’ and Grigg’s bonds were set at $2,500 and $7,500, respectively. Both are currently in jail, in lieu of bond.
