A Warren Township man is in jail on charges of child pornography. Last Tuesday a Washington County Parole Officer received an anonymous tip that a parolee, 35-year-old Daron Lee Voshel of 2626 Barth Road, was attempting to meet women with small children via the internet.

According to Marietta Police, a search warrant on Voshel’s personal laptop found around a hundred explicit photos of young boys, ages five to thirteen, which he admitted to looking at. Currently incarcerated, Voshel was charged with two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, a fifth-degree felony.

His initial court date was Monday afternoon, where he received a total $30,000 bail amount. According to the Marietta Times, Voshel was paroled following a first-degree felony conviction of rape of a five-year-old boy in 2000, and is a registered sex offender.
