New Muskingum River Docks Open
Posted on: 05/25/2012

Just in time to kick off summer, the Marietta city engineer’s office tells WMOA News that the Harmar Boaters Access Docks, newly installed along the west bank of the Muskingum River are officially open as of today.

Boaters can now enjoy the 200 feet of floating recreational docks, with access to Harmar Village by means of a five-foot concrete walk.

The city reminds boaters that the new docks are for daily stops only. Rental and overnight accommodations are available across the river at Marietta Harbor.

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District says Seneca Lake Marina opened for the season this morning. Marine fuel won’t be available until tomorrow (Saturday).

The marina, a short drive from I-77 near the Noble-Guernsey county line, is undergoing major renovation, but the facility will remain open all season.
