Posted on: 10/18/2017
By  Landon Santini

The Little Hocking Water Association has announced a boil advisory due to a recent break in the main water line along Everson Road in Dunham Township. The boil advisory is only for Little Hocking Water customers, who are located at Everson Road and Needham Drive.

After the repairs are made and water service is restored, it is recommended that as a precaution to safeguard public health, that all water used for drinking, preparation of food, or washing of dishes and cookware should be boiled for a minimum of three minutes prior to use. Boiling of water should continue until further notice.

In the meantime, Little Hocking Water personnel will be collecting water samples which will be used to determine how long the advisory will last. The Little Hocking Water Association thanks you for your cooperation.

UPDATE (Thursday, October 19th, 2017)

The boil advisory has been canceled for the Little Hocking Water customers, who are located in the areas of Everson Road and Needham Drive. Following the repair of the Water Main along Everson Road, water samples have been collected and analyzed for bacteria, as recommended by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) and have been determined as clean.
