Last week on September 14th 2017, the Marietta College Landman Association hosted the montly meeting of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen in the Andrews Hall Great Room. Hosting the meeting provided the most recent example of the growth of the Land and Energy Management program at Marietta and the professional development opportunities avaliable to the students involved in it since it became acrredited by the AAPL in 2016.

More than fifty professional landmen were in attendance representing nearly twenty companies, including EQT Corporation and Perheron Energy, throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. A networking and cocktail hour kicked off the evening's events, offereing six students the chance to discuss their summer internship experiencess. Even the professionals in attendance recognized the overall benefit that events like these can offer.

For more information about this and other future events to be held on the campus of Marietta College, contact the school's Executive Director of Communications & Brand Management Tom Perry at (740) 376-4408 or by email.
