In the November 2017 issue of Ohio Magazine, Mareitta will be recognized as one of five best hometowns.
The Ohio Best Hometowns issue of Ohio Magazine Is published each year.
Ohio Magazine serves energetic and involved Ohioans by providing award winning stories and pictures of Ohio's most interesting people and history.
Marietta has been selected due to our proud history, our access to outdoor adventure and it has been noticed by the magazine that we all embrace the spirit of community activism and volunteerism.
Towns are selected by nominations and the editors of the issue take a look at six categories such as community spirit, education, culture and heritage.
Bowling Green
Marietta
Milford
Mount Vernon
Wooster
These are the 5 cities that make up the list.
Each of the hometowns will be featured in the November, January and July issues and will show its readers all 5 of these unique hometowns.
