Last week the Marietta Police Department was dispatched to Sixth Street in reference to a stolen bicycle.  The witness gave the description of a skinny man with a black hat and sunglasses who reportedly went onto the porch and stole a BMX bike.  The man was unidentified at this point.

The police report says that 20 minutes after that, another call was made to the department.  This time, the caller stated that she wanted a subject named Skylar Paul removed from the home.  As police arrived and met with Paul, the police agreed to escort Paul back to his mother's house.  While in route, the report states that police realized that Paul could be a potential suspect in the theft that had occurred just prior to picking him up.

After investigations were completed, Paul was arrested for 2 counts of theft, 1 count of receiving stolen property, 1 count of drug abuse instruments, 1 count of drug paraphernalia and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.  He was then reportedly taken to the Washington County Jail.

Later that same evening, another call came into the Marietta Police Department in reference to a stolen chainsaw.  Police then arrived at the third street location and learned that the subject that took the chainsaw was again.. Skylar Paul.  Paul once again fit the description given.  It was stated to the victim that Paul had already been taken into custody.  Skylar Paul was then charged with an additional charge of theft.
