The Ohio State Highway Patrol have been requested to investigate a crash that occurred along State Route 7.

The Highway Patrol arrived on the scene and reportedly foudn the Reno Volunteer Fire Department already on scene and saw a vehicle in a residential yard against a gas meter.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Gale Astraitis of Belpre Ohio.  She was sitting in the drivers seat of the vehicle and as officials made contact with her the report says an odor of alcoholic beverages was detected on or about her person.

Astraitis allegedly admitted to consuming alcholic beverages but the report goes on to say that her slurred speech made it difficult for police to understand exactly how much she had.

Astratis submitted to a sobriety test which indicated she was over the limit.

She was arrested for OVI and was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.  Later, Astraitis' BAC was .244
