Two Marietta residents were arrested on drug charges Wednesday following a multi-pronged investigation by the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission and Washington-Morgan-Noble Crimes Task Force.

With the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Marietta City Police Department, agents conducted a traffic stop on Haydon Lee Givens, age 26, of Marietta, along State Route 7 near Interstate 77.  Agents allegedly retreived nearly a gram of heroin on Givens' person.

At the same time, agents conducted a search of the residence of Jacinda Nicole Hutson, age 25, of Marietta.  More than 27 grams of heroin was reportedly located within the residence, as well as nine hundred dollars in cash.

Givens and Hutson were placed under arrest for trafficking in drugs, a 2nd degree felony, and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Agents further learned that Givens was out on bond from Wood County, West Virginia while under indictment for heroin trafficking.

They are each being held on a $50,000 bond with their next court appearance set for January 25th in Marietta Municipal Court.
