MARIETTA, Ohio (July 18, 2016) - Officials with the city of Marietta say water service will be interrupted for some customers this week for the purpose of tying in a new water main at the intersection of Hadley Lane and Channel Lane.
Construction is expected to last approximately one day and will require temporary water shut-off while work is under way. Customers can expect the project to begin around 12:30 tomorrow afternoon.
Customers affected will include residents and businesses along Dudley Avenue, Cedar Street, Ridge Street, Curtis Blvd, Channel Lane, and Quarry Street from Dudley to Walker.
Beginning Wednesday, July 20, water main work will move to the area of Hadley and Cisler Lanes. This construction is also expected to last about a day and will require temporary water shut-off to area customers. Those affected will include residents and businesses in the section of Hadley Lane to Sunset, as well as Becker Lane. This work is expected to begin at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.
After water service is restored in these areas, there will be a boil advisory until water sampling is completed.
Construction will begin Thursday at 7 a.m. in the area of Hadley Lane and Colgate Drive. This work will continue for about a day with no expected water outages.
