Belpre police looking for suspect in armed robbery

BELPRE, Ohio (May 19, 2016) - Police are on the lookout for a suspect in an armed robbery of a Belpre gas station over the weekend.
 
According to Belpre Police, the Go Mart located at 206 Washington Blvd was robbed at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police report that a weapon was brandished, but no injuries were sustained during the robbery.
 
Officials were able to identify the suspect as Wayne "Anthony" Rhodes, age 27, of Belpre, through the use of surveillance cameras. They say the Rhodes made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
 
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Rhodes on charges of Aggravated Robbery. Rhodes is described as being a white male, 5 foot 9 inches tall, 240 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tear drop tattoo under his left eye and tattoos on both sides of his neck.
Rhodes was last known to be wearing a grey pullover hoodie and black tennis shoes with red laces. His last known location was in the Elkins, West Virginia area.
