A black bear named "Moses" has been spotted in Marietta.

Marietta Police reported a black bear sighting in the Harmar Hill area early Wednesday. Officials say the bear is fitted with a GPS tracking collar, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Wildlife officers are now aware of the sighting.

Officers advise residents not to approach, feed or harm the animal. He should flee in response to loud noise. In the very unlikely event that the bear becomes threatening, ODNR officers will be contacted.
